Abstract
The present study involves the analysis of percentage generation and energy content (kj/kg) of municipal solid waste. A regression equation was used for estimating the energy content of municipal solid waste and to correlate the energy content with variables derived from physical composition of solid waste. The regres sion equation is relatively simple than the modified Dulong equation (MDE), which is generally used for estimating energy content of municipal solid waste.
