Abstract

The  present   study  involves  the  analysis  of  percentage  generation and energy  content  (kj/kg)  of  municipal solid waste.  A regression equation  was  used  for  estimating  the  energy  content  of  municipal  solid  waste  and to  correlate  the energy  content  with  variables  derived  from  physical  composition  of  solid  waste.  The  regres­ sion  equation  is  relatively simple  than  the  modified  Dulong  equation  (MDE),  which  is  generally    used  for estimating  energy  content  of municipal  solid  waste.
